Anne Arundel ENTRobert Baxter Meek, III, M.D.

Robert Baxter Meek, III, M.D. graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University and studied medicine at the West Virginia School of Medicine. There he completed residency in otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery and went on to become assistant professor at University of Virginia prior to coming to Annapolis.

At the esteemed University of Virginia, he spent time learning about voice and swallowing disorders as well as participating in research on how reflux affects voice and swallowing.

Dr. Meek has taken his academic experience and applied it to his private practice.  He has applied his precise evaluation and surgical skill to the management of sinus disorders, snoring, and sleep apnea.  Dr. Meek evaluates all of his chronic sinusitis patients with a validated questionnaire, 3-dimensional CT scan, nasal endoscopy, and cultures when indicated.  He utilizes cutting edge surgical tools, including stereotactic navigation and balloon dilation of the sinuses.  This allows him to achieve excellent results with the least amount of down time for his patients.  To refine his medical expertise, Dr. Meek attends several conferences a year.  He is board certified with the Academy of Otolaryngology and is soon to be board certified in sleep medicine.

Dr. Meek lives in Annapolis with his wife, who is a practicing gynecologist, and his three children.  In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis with his wife, cycling, paddleboarding, and coaching his girls in lacrosse and his son in soccer.
