Dr. Meek's surgical technique: Dr. Meek rarely utilizes packing in his sinus procedures. For Sinus only procedures the
bleeding is stopped by cautery or CO2 laser and ointment is applied to prevent bleeding.
His philosophy is by not obstructing the sinuses with packing, the patient is able to
irrigate the sinuses earlier and achieve a better result. Bleeding has been minimal in this
technique in over 500 cases.

Surgical Navigation SystemDr Meek employs a surgical navigation system in all of his endoscopic sinus surgery
procedures. This allows him to accurately place his instruments in the sinus cavity even in patients that have undergone previous surgery or have extensive polyps.

Dr. Meek also employs a balloon dilation system. These procedure can be performed under local anesthesia in select patients.
